Dear Himanshu, these days emphasis is on CSE, Civil and Mech.but it also depends upon your choice. If you are somebody who wants to sit in an AC office then ofcourse CSE is for you but if you are somebody who doesn't mind working in the field then Civil and Mech.are very good options. These days Civil and Mech.students students are also getting good offers.
Now the most important thing is the university/ college that you choose for your degree. These days we have many good government as well as private universities like IITs, IITTs, NITs, LPU, SRM, etc offering admissions in different engineering branches. Some of them offer admission just on the basis of tests like JEE and some offer you direct admission too on the basis of your marks in previous qualifying exam. So, you can check the websites of these universities to know the course and fee details.

Neha if you have given some entrance test then wait for the result, could be you can get some good college like NIT, IITT or some other govt.college. Otherwise you go for some reputed private university like Amity, Chitkara, SRM, Lovely Professional University, Manavrachna etc. All these not only offer admission on the basis of entrance tests but also direct admission on the basis of your marks in 12th.
Some of these universities are also offering meritorious students scholarships too on the basis of their marks in 12th class.
All these are world class universities with excellent infrastructure and modern facilities giving cordial and ambient environment to students for proper learning and help in the overall development of their personality.
