Economics is a very strong subject and if you have a good record for the same, you may then opt for this course. Getting a degree in economics through correspondence is a rare option and in fact may not be of high value. I would advise you to take up Eco Honors from a good institute/ colleges and along with which you may opt for the B.Com through correspondence.

However, few of the good once which you may consider are: Bangalore University, University of Madras, Annamalai University, IGNOU etc.

However, both the Universities are UGC approved University but Christ University has a better market value than Jain University in terms of infrastructure, study material, placements etc.
I would like to add here that to get more realistic view of things you should visit the institute and try and talk with few of the current batch students, and faculty member to get insight information about the Institute and its merits and demerits.
