It can be best decided as the CAP rounds proceed. Wait for the second and third CAP rounds if you can worth the risk, by doing so you can get some of the very best colleges which you could not in first admission round. Some A graded colleges you could look forward to are- DY Patil, Fr.Agnels, SIES, Terna etc. Best of luck.

Hi Arshad,
If you wish to seek admission in degree course after diploma in electrical engineering then you may join lateral B.Tech/B.E course which means direct entry in the second year.
But, not to forget, lateral entry rules differ from one university to another. Please visit the official website of the respective institute or contact the officials personally for specific admission details.

engineering in almost any branch I guess would involve maths in it- directly or indirectly. But rest assured this maths is much simpler to what you learnt in 11th and 12th classes. You will have to learn maths(as an explicit subject) in first and second year of your 4-year engineering curriculum and later years apply bits of it.But, it can be coped and with some extra efforts. So, give your choice of engineering stream a try without worrying of 'problem maths'.
