You may prefer Shiksha college predictor.
In our country, people truly believe on IITs and NITs for B.Tech and placement.
But, due to downfall, these are also losing its position.
Apart from these, some private college are BITS, SRM, NIRMA, VIT, SKIT Jaipur, UPES Dehradun and LPU are getting higher value.
Well, there, you may get good environment.

With 124 marks and his rank, check out the opening and closing ranks of nits in josaa.nic.in if he gets a good nit with a required branch then join in it, else I suggest you to have a drop for 1 year and give back the exam.
