RDIAS and GIBS have their own pros and cons. The pros of Gibs is their faculty. The Pros of RDIAS is their management in terms of lectures, placement, study material. Both are fairly good. The cons in RDIAS is their daily uniform. The Cons in GIBS is lack of management and pathetic hierarchy. Avg Package of GOBS was 4.25 L per annum.

As the qualifying criteria for appearing in IBPS is that candidate must have graduate degree from a recognized university. Ur brother is elegible for appearing in the IBPS exam. HE should appear in the exam and meanwhile complete his MBA degree. If he is selected on the basis of exam (IBPS) he should prefer to join. U should visit the official websites of both the institutes/colleges and see the placement graph for the last five years. what is essential is that the college must provide quality education and better placement services. u can try in both these colleges. otherwise there are certain other private colleges/universities also which provide better education and placement services tot the students like Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, College of Engineering Pune, Lovely professional university.

You might get into a tier -2 universities, if you had arrears (Backlogs) but have cleared them. However, if you have not cleared and still have arrears, its not possible to get admission.

First of all you need to shortlist the colleges as all colleges have different eligibility criteria. And secondly 4.5 bands is to low to get admission. I would suggest you to re appear for the exam and try and get 6.5-7 bands.

Our initial short list is purely based on CAT scores. So I would not dwell too much on what I have and rather try to the best I can looking forward. A good CAT score should get you a shortlist t the WAT/PI rounds where the weight-age is split into a lot of categories. You can check the same here.
