Hope you are doing good. The spot admission is never online you have to visit the college and fill up the form for spot admission. They will release separate merit list then you will get admission.

Every university has a different curriculum and therefore, there is a difference in years of the degree. The career options after M.Sc tech geophysics and M.Sc geophysics will be a bit different, you will have more scope after M.Sc tech geophysics than M.Sc geophysics.

All of the IIITs that you have mentioned don't have their own campuses, so their classes are going on in the NITs of their respective states. The better of these is not a straight answer since there are no placement statistics as their first batch passed out this month only. Maybe you can check the stats in a month or so if and when released. Also, if you do think of taking admission in one of these colleges, I can only tell you that there is no discrimination on the basis of IIIT or NIT. Placements: Placements are not so quite good. But there are placements for HR recruiter, consultancy, some of the placements are from IBM, and HCL but they also have their criteria. Chances of placements are 75% depending upon your performance. Some of the placements are from AMCAT too.
