So, to answer your question, theoretically, you can convert IRMA with 80% if you meet the rest of the parameters (at least 4 of them including GD and PI). But, practically it is a daunting task to convert IRMA with such a low percentile if you do not have an extraordinary profile.

Personal discussion at IRMA is broadly aimed at understanding the sensitivity quotient of the candidates towards his/her world around. For the fresher's, most of the discussion revolves around graduation subjects (core), hobbies/interests, extra-curricular activities etc. For experienced candidates, the discussion would be on their work experience.
Please be very clear that discussion may not start with a routine question like tell me something about yourself.Good luck.

ECE: You will need certain abilities like-
Ability to visualize the electric circuits. Understand the concepts clearly and reason out the working. Programming. Yes, coding. You will need a good grasp on at least C, if not any other. Hello Aarthi,
Talking about academics, MBA is all about 75% self-learning and 25% academic learning. So, I don't think it really matters, because at the end, you need to study by your own and then your knowledge plays a crucial role. To be fair to both the colleges and coming from a completely unbiased third person point of view, IMT has great placements for the top 30% of the batch.
Campus life at MICA is known to be better, for all the right reasons. There is more scope to explore extracurriculars and sports and the sense of community is much stronger. Learning is honestly to each his own, MICA's learning is known to be more stimulating and all-rounders, while IMT's learning is more MBA focused. Brand equity
