Eligibility criteria for taking admission to B.E. / B.Tech at Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT)

According to educational qualification, candidates are required to pass 10+2 with a minimum of 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for reserved categories) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.

Admissions through WBJEE or JEE Main: Admission into the institute is primarily based on the WBJEE or JEE Main scores. The candidates need to appear for one of these entrance exams to get shortlisted for the counselling process.

Age Restriction: Candidates must be at least 17 years old by 31st December during the year in which they seek admission.

During the last round of cutoff, the most popular choices among the candidates were B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, the second most popular choice being B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
