You have to meet the eligibility criteria for the specific programme you choose  . Minimum  criteria for every programme to have a 50 % score in 12th and a decent score in entrance exam.  For btech/ B.E they opt JEE Main,   for M.Tech students should have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of 50%, alongside they must also have either a GATE score or a MHT CET score. and yes admission without GATE is possible, but a MHT CET M.Tech score is mandatory.  For more information visiting there official website is better

The hostel charge for VISET ,for accommodation based on the choice (capacity) will be around INR 1 Lakh to 1.20 Lakh for 1 year . Other than this, INR 5000 needs to be paid as a caution deposit which you will get refunded when you graduate.  INR 80000 is the mess fee for the year.
