I post graduated from LPU and have put my time here to good use in defining my personality and self-analysis. Unlike other universities, the norms and regulations at this one are very tight. LPU provides huge scholarships based on merit, need, and various other categories. If you want a 100% scholarship at LPU you need to be a sportsperson who has played at the national or international level, or a board topper, or a performer in music or dance. Not only the programme fee, but LPU also gives residential facilities for free as well to such students. However, there is a long list of scholarships that a student can avail of. A student can avail of a scholarship up to 50 pc by qualifying LPU NEST exam on merit. The students engaged in R & D, Social Service, winners of Bravery Awards, Scholarship for Orphan Applicants/Single girl child (Need-Based), Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability, orphans, disabled, SC, ST, OBCs. Hii there, I have been studying at LPU for the past 2 years and till now my experience with faculty members has been immensely great, professors there are humble and always ready to help. I have taken their help uncountable times, like whenever I used to face any issue I used to take doubt clearing classes. And no professors have problems with this, there are always ready to give extra classes besides these professors there are highly qualified. Most of them are from IITs, Iims, IIITs, and NIITs as well. And most of them are PhDs. They are not just faculty members but are mentors to students. Faculty works hard on students to get them placed in the best of the companies. LPU is a brand in itself. As per my own experience, and being a student of LPU I can proudly say that faculty member at LPU gives their 100% to the development of students. University takes utmost care and no chance in choosing qualified faculty members. The residential facility on the campus is much safer and more secure as 24 X 7 X 365 security is available and CCTVs are installed at all prominent locations throughout the campus. Security is in the hands of experienced security staff. Turnstile Gates: The entry to residential facilities are regulated through the automated turnstile (as in metro railway) and biometric machines and data are saved in the computerized database to track the movement of students/ visitor. Facilities in Hostels: 24 Hrs. Security Services, 24 Hrs. CCTV Surveillance, 24 Hrs. Electricity Backup, 24 Hrs. Water Supply, 24 Hrs. Medical Service (Medicines and tests on Payment), 24 Hrs. The hostels of LPU are most comfortable and damn strict. There is no compromise when it comes to the security of the students. LPU residential facilities are as state of the art as the campus is. There is round-the-clock vigil through security cameras and there is a huge army of security personnel deployed all over the university. LPU has a hostel from 1 seater to 6 Seater including the AC and Non AC. To maintain cleanliness, rooms are cleaned about 23 times per week. The room has an Air Conditioner, attached washroom, and Geyser in each room. Wooden Box B.Ed Study Table, Chair and Almirah. Students have to seek permission to use electrical gadgets having maximum load upto 5 ampere per apartment. One and two Seater apartments have attached lobby and kitchenette. There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition to it, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment). Study Room, TV Room, Lift Facility, Fire Fighting System, Purified Water Facility, Maintenance Services, Wi-Fi Service, Free Electricity Units (As Applicable). There is 24 Hrs. From ala care to regional mess, the LPU hostel has all. It has North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthan and many other regional messes. A student can choose the food as per his or her taste. The quality of food is good. Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, Tea is served at breakfast. In lunch Dry Vegetables, Dal, any Gravy item, Rice, Chapati and Raita are served. The dinner Chapati, Seasonal Vegetables, Rice and Desserts. The campus is ragging-free, drug-free and tobacco-free. If someone has a problem in connection with the residential facilities room, one can lodge a complaint. The hostel management looks into the matter and resolves it at the earliest. The female guards are deployed in the girls' hostels. There are female security guards who look after the security of the girls' hostel. The campus is ragging-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free so there is no need to fear. The Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs. Dear Sameeksha, I have completed my 2 years in LPU and also I am from Punjab, so I can give you clarity of the weather in LPU. In the month of September, October, and March, the temperature is normal and varies from 16-27 degrees centigrade. In the month of November, December, and February, the temperature is normal and varies from 3-19 degrees centigrade. It is cold in these months. In the month of April to August, the temperature is normal and varies from 20-40 degrees centigrade. It is a hot day in these months. But in LPU, you won't feel hot as the campus is green and fresh air is always there on the campus. LPU is spread over 600 acres campus having 3000+ students and 3500+ faculty and staff.
