If you want to take admission in journalism course, every institute has different requirements for selecting candidates for their course. For undergraduates:
you can apply for journalism course after you have passed class 12 with a minimum percentile of 50 from any stream be hit Science, commerce or arts.
Some colleges require you to possess excellent communication skills, English speaking skills and writing skills
Admissions are done either on basis of 12th marks or on the basis of entrance tests of various universities
Some colleges also take personal interviews to shortlist students
For post graduates:
You must have a valid under graduate degree of a duration of 3/4/5 years from recognised university
Candidates from all streams and disciplines are eligible to perceive the post graduate journalism courses
Candidates may be required to have appeared for an entrance test conducted by various universities offering the course.

The first stage of MPSC exam is conducted through a Prelim Exam with 2 Papers, and the Main Exam with 6 mandatory Papers. The Prelim examination serves as a qualifier for the Main exam. The authorities release the MPSC answer key for prelims soon after the exam. Candidates must obtain a min of 33% in the Prelims to be eligible for the MPSC Mains exam. Both the paper comprises 200 marks each. Time duration of each paper is 2 hours. The aspirants will get a deduction of 1/4th mark for every incorrect answer. Previously, the aspirants got a deduction of 1/3rdmarks for every wrong answer. All the questions are set in Marathi and English . The marks of Prelims will be counted only for shortlisting the aspirants for the MPSC Mains exam. The aspirants, who will secure the minimum MPSC cutoff marks, decided by the Commission will be released the admit card to take the MPSC Mains Exam. MPSC Mains 2023 will have 6 Papers. The objective questions carry a negative marking of 1/4th for every wrong answer. Previously, the aspirants got a deduction of 1/3rd marks for every wrong answer. The questions of decision making in paper II has no negative marking in case of incorrectly answered questions. In every MPSC Mains exam paper, the qualifying marks both for General category and reserved category candidates are 45 marks and 40 marks respectively.

Basically, there is no concession available based on VITEEE rank. Only state toppers are provided with full fee waiver. And also VIT has a scheme called STAR Students only for Tamil Nadu students. Two toppers (1 boy, 1 girl) from each district of Tamil Nadu are directly admitted into VIT with fee waiver. According to the rank secured, you will fall into different categories of fees. Later, a scholarship scheme is available only for economically weaker students. For this you will have to qualify the following conditions:
1) Student should be meritorious and should have scored good GPA continuously.
2) Family income should be less than 1.5 lacs. You will have to provide required documents like income Certificate etc. whas to be approved by the faculty coordinator, programme Chair and Dean. Then it will be forwarded for further scrutiny.
3) I do not know how many students have received this scholarship.

If you are referring to the entrance exam of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi, then it is more like an audition at the GU campus. You have to submit your application form in the month of May or once admission dates are announced on the GU website. The form fee is Rs. 350, which will be made available for one week at the admission portal. After completing the form, you must travel to the GU campus to give an audition. For music courses, you have to prepare a one-minute short song, and for dance courses, you have to prepare a two-minute dance sequence. You may be required to bring your own musical instruments to a dance audition, such as for classical dance. The list of selected candidates will be published on the official website of the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.
