Animation related programs are offered by lot of Government Colleges and Autonomous Institutes & Universities in India as well.
There are few top notch institutes like NID, IIT- IDC who offer UG and PG programs in these segment. If you are creative, do consider and appear for their entrance test.
While choosing any institute ensure that you are taught by Experienced & proficient Mentors. Also ensure adequate infrastructure, industry interface & validate placement track record of alumni's. Do your own analysis instead of going by any name.

Great the future in design is good and BFA is one of the routes to commercial design. However, nowadays a better route could be Animation for artists since Good Animation Degrees would include Graphic Design. And you end up with many more career options in Graphics, Web Design, Film Art, 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Game Design and VFX. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in animation design, game design, graphics, storyboarding, 3d modelling, texturing and lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose. Go speak to people over there and see if you like their philosophy and they change your perspective.Try their website for more details. Also remember that Animation requires good mentoring.
