B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering - Stands for Bachelor of Technology Agricultural Engineering. Typically, a B.Tech. is for four years, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10 + 2) in science. Subjects usually studied under this degree are Crop Production Technology,Fundamentals of Soil Science, Agricultural Marketing, Transfer of Technology, agri-Business Management, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics, Surveying, Leveling, Soil Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Hydrology and Soil Conservation, Ground Water Hydrology, Ground Water Drainage, Surface & Pressure Irrigation Systems etc.
Basic Eligibility:For admission in a bachelor's degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as biology, maths and chemistry. For IITS, It is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E). The duration for the course is 4 years.

Agricultural engineering is one of the lucrative field. The remuneration in government sectors for agricultural engineers is Rs. 15,000 - Rs 25,000 every month depending upon their positions. Graduates working in private sector can earn around Rs 25,000 - Rs 35,000 every month. They can earn more than what he/she earns in government sector. Those who are working with NGOs can earn handsome salary. Besides those who opt to open their own farm can earn good returns depending upon the size of farm and crops grown.

The best option among the two is Bachelor's degree in MLT. B.Voc is a work integrated degree programme where applicants get opportunity to earn while learning. Hi Sivaiah, the academics are good. Some of the teachers are particularly good. But most of the teachers are such that they will show interest in you only if you show interest in them I.e. you must be proactive. There are a large number of societies also with which the teachers are associated thus providing a very good practical approach . The placements in DTU are particularly good. Although it depends on your branch,on an average you can say that the placements are very good especially of the computer related branches.
