After your 12th appear for competitive exams like JEE, this will help you get admission in good institutes like IIT, NIT, IIIT etc. Other than this with your good marks in 12th you can get direct admission in reputed private university like Lovely, Chitkara, Galgotia etc.

There are no sectional cut-offs. Cut-Offs for thiis year have been:
CAT, XAT- 80%ile
CMAT Sep2013- 190
GMAT- 640
GRE- 280
IFMR does not give calls only on the basis of the scores obtained in the above mentioned exams. Profile based calls are given.

Darshana with this JEE score you can't get admission in B.Tech. As for on the basis of your 12th marks, please check out with different colleges and universities, as some of them conduct their own tests or give admission on the basis of merit prepared by them.

Don't drop the year but just wait for the cut off to see this which college you are going to get. In case you don't find the college suitable then go for some private university on the basis of your WBJEE rank. Many private universities are offering admission on the basis of it too.

Ankit your tentative rank is going to be above 75000. There is not much scope of a good college on the basis of this rank. But you can try for admission in private universities some of them offer admissions just on the basis of your marks in 12th and some conduct their own test for admission.
