The IIT Roorkee conducted GATE 2025 exam. The cutoff for GATE EE (last year) can be checked below -

  • cutoff for general category - 25
  • cutoff for OBC-NCL or EWS category - 22.5
  • and cutoff for SC/ST category was 16.6

This year, IIT Guwahati is conducting GATE 2026. Candidates can refer to these cutoff and plan their choice filling.

Candidates appearing for GATE 2026 XL paper can check the exam pattern below -

  • General aptitude carries 15 marks
  • Chemistry (compulsory) section comprises 17 questions carrying a total of 25 marks (9 questions of 1 mark and 8 questions of 2 marks)
  • Each optional section (out of 2) in the GATE XL paper contains 19 questions of 30 marks (8 questions of 1 mark and 11 questions of 2 marks)
  • Total time duration is three hours. 
  • Exam mode is online.

Any candidate who wishes to switch the optional section during exam, must deselect the first one to answer.

While preparing WBJEE JECA cutoff, authorities consider various factors, such as-

  • Difficulty level of test
  • Total number of candidates
  • Previous year cutoffs
  • Total number of seats

Separate WBJEE JECA cutoffs will be released for the two rounds of counselling.

According to the official information brochure, the counselling fee for WBJEE JECA is- 

  • General Category students: INR 500. 

  • Third Gender/SC/ST/OBCCategory-A/OBC-Category-B/EWS candidates: INR 400

The fee must be paid online. If the candidates fail to pay the counselling fee, their registration will not be considered.

No, the WBJEE JECA counselling dates are finalised by the exam authorities, and you are not permitted to ask for any changes. Applicants are recommended to go through and abide by the WBJEE JECA counselling dates, as delayed applications will not be made available. The authorities will carry out two sessions of WBJEE JECA counselling.

Yes, WBJEE JECA counselling will be an online process. For joining the allotment process, the candidates will have to register online for the WBJEE JECA counselling process. After registration, candidates will need to fill in their college and course preferences online, in order of preference. The authorities will also declare the WBJEE seat allotment result online at wbjeeb.nic.in/jeca.

Normally, the duration of the GATE exam is 3 hours. However, the duration for students availing the scribe facility (PwD or dyslexic) will get an hour compensatory time to complete the exam, which is four hours. Candidates have to opt for compensatory time at the time of filling out the application form. After the exam duration is over, the test will terminate automatically.

No. You should not put your signature or write anything on the WBJEE JECA admit card. If there is any requirement to sign your admit card, you will be notified at the exam centre by the exam officials. If any unnecessary writings are noticed on the admit card, the officials might refuse to accept it, and you will not be permitted inside the centre.

If you can't download your WBJEE JECA admit card, you are first advised to

  • Check your internet connectivity. If they do not have any issue with their internet connection, then -

  • Reload the website and try logging in again. Heavy website traffic may cause some difficulties in downloading the hall ticket. 

If you are still unable to download the hall ticket, please contact the exam authorities.
