Educational: To become a commercial pilot in India, one has to first possess a Student Pilot License (SPL). To get the SPL those with 10+2 with Science and aged at least 16 years should register at a flying club which is recognized by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. It's not any special. It's like any other course only. 30k could be the starting pay. NEST is only an eligibility test for integrated M.Sc. Simply clearing NEST wouldn't guarantee anything. Not even admission.

You should give both MHT CET and JEE Mains+Advanced. If you clear JEE Mains with good marks then you will get NIT and if you will clear JEE Advance then you can get IITs. Placements for NITs and IITs are good so you should try for first JEE Mains and Advance and then MHTCET. From MHTCET, you will get government engineering colleges.

For getting into IIMs you require more than 95 percentile.If you are looking for some other tier one campus then you need just 85 percentile and above. If you go to tier two and three campuses you can get it easily then you should score approximately 70 percentile and above. With MAT exam you can get into major tier 2 and 3 campus.CAT exam is mostly used as a criterion of selection in IIM, IIT, Symbiosis etc.

You have a very bright chance of job opportunities after marine engineering. But I wonder why you want to do marine engineering after your mechanical engineering. If an offshore job is your priority then do merchant navy course. It is for a maximum 3-years duration only.
