The GATE Exam 2026 scorecard is not required by Chandigarh University for applying for M.E. admission. If students want to be considered for the fellowship, they can apply based on their academic qualifications and thereafter submit their GATE information. The scorecard is required at the fellowship assessment phase, not during admission registration, for students aiming for the GATE fellowship. This enables applicants to submit their applications ahead of the announcement of the GATE results. Students must present a current GATE scorecard and other necessary paperwork at the time of final fellowship processing. Admission is unaffected

Yes, Chandigarh University can offer admission to top M.E. branches even if a student has a moderate GATE Exam 2026 score. This is because GATE does not play any role in admission priority. Admission is granted after checking graduation eligibility, not GATE performance. Whether your GATE score is high, moderate, or you are not appearing for GATE 2026 at all, your admission chances remain the same as long as you meet the academic requirements of the chosen branch. A moderate GATE score may only affect fellowship eligibility, not branch selection. Therefore, students can secure admission to core and interdisciplinary M.E. programs witho

Yes, final-year B.Tech students can apply for M.E. admission at Chandigarh University even if they are still completing their degree. Admission is provisional and subject to successful completion of graduation before the programme begins. If a final-year student plans to appear for GATE 2026, the score can later be submitted for fellowship consideration. Students who are not appearing for GATE 2026 can still apply based on their expected graduation outcome. The university allows early applications so that students can plan their postgraduate studies in advance. GATE is not compulsory at this stage and does not affect admission eligibil

No, Chandigarh University does not require a valid GATE Exam 2026 score for any M.E. specialisation. This applies to all core engineering branches and interdisciplinary programs. Admission to M.E. programs is based on graduation eligibility and academic background. Students who are not appearing for GATE 2026 can freely apply to any specialisation offfered by the University. A valid GATE score is required only if a student wants to be considered for the GATE fellowship. Even then, it does not influence admission priority or branch allocation. This policy ensures that access to postgraduate engineering education remains open and inclusi

The HNGU NATA Cutoff 2024 was released for admission to the BArch course for both the AI and HS quota. As per the HNGU Cutoff 2024 for the General AI category, the cutoff in the last round was 31049.

On the other hand for the General HS category, the last round cutoff was 11429 for the same course. Considering the cutoff of the last round for both quotas, we can say that the competition is higher for the General HS category.

Note: This is the cutoff for the General category in the last round, other categories and rounds will have different cutoffs.

Yes, you can apply to Chandigarh University before the GATE Exam 2026 results are declared. The university does not wait for GATE results to begin M.E. admissions. You can apply and secure admission based on your graduation marks. If you are appearing for GATE 2026, you can submit your score later once the results are announced to be considered for the fellowship. Students who are not appearing for GATE 2026 do not need to worry about this step at all. This process allows students to plan their postgraduate education without delays or dependency on national exam timelines.

Chandigrah University generally starts M.E. admissions soon after the admission cycle opens for the academic year, which often aligns with early years-admission rounds. GATE-qualified students can apply once the university opens PG admissions, even if GATE results are still awaited. The university follows a rolling admission process, allowing candidates to apply early to secure their preferred branch. Fellowship-related procedures for GATE-qualified students are usually completed after submission for valid GATE scorecards. Applicants are advised to apply early to avoid seat unavailability, especially in high-demand M.E. specialisations

No, GATE exam 2026 is not compulsory for interdisciplinary M.E. programs at Chandigarh University. Programs such as Robotics and AI, Artificial intelligence, Data Science, and Space technology follow the same admission process as core engineering branches. Elegibility is checked based on graduation marks and relevant academic backgrounds. Students who are not appearing for GATE 2026, can still apply and get admission if they meet the elegibility criteria. GATE qualification is considered only if you wish to be evaluated for the fellowship. Interdisciplinary programs do not impose any additional GATE related requirements, ensuring equal

Yes, Chandigarh University allows PG engineering admission without GATE Exam 2026, and CUCET can be used as an optional pathway for scholarships, not as a replacement entrance exam. Admission is primarily granted after checking graduation eligibility. If you choose to appear for CUCET, it may help you secure a scholarship based on merit, but it is not mandatory for asmission. Students who are not appearing for GATE 2026 can still apply directly and complete the admission process smoothly. CUCET does not provide admission priority either; it only supports scholarship consideration. This flexible structure allows students multiple option

Yes,

you can absolutely pursue an M.E. at Chandigarh University even if you do not qualify GATE Exam 2026. GATE qualification is not a requirement for admission to any M.E. program.

The university's admission process is based on an eligibility check of your graduation marks.

If your academic background satisfies the programme requirements, you can get direct admission. Students who are not appearing for GATE 2026 or who do not qualify are treated the same as other applicants during admission. The only difference is that non-GATE students are not eligible for the GATE fellowship. Academically, there is no distinction in course

Yes, admission is completely possible at Chandigarh University even if your GATE Exam 2026 score is below average. GATE scores do not affect admission decisions in any way. As long as you fulfil the graduation eligibility criteria for your chosen M.E. program, you can get direct admission. A below-average GATE score may only affect your chances of receiving the GATE fellowship, which is merit-based and limited in number. Students who are not appearing for GATE 2026 face no disadvantage in admission. Chandigarh University focuses on academic eligibility and programme fit rather than entrance exam rankings, making postgraduate engineerin
