Preparing for IAS requires combination of smartness and hard work. Do the right things to gain an edge over your competition:
*Get the right books for Prelims
*Start preparing at least 10 months before
*Solve past year questions to test yourself on regular basis
*Cover the scoring sections early
*Cover the syllabus strategically. Don't go for a "prepare all" approach for prelims
*Balance paper 1 and 2
I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday by reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. You may also refer the books below:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with adequate competence in
Mathematics under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks.
So you can go ahead considering your percentage marks and if you have had Maths, then definitely apply.

1) XII pass from any branch with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% for students of SC and ST category.
2) Qualifying the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and Group Discussion & Personal interview.

The history of backlogs will not affect your chances of getting admission in universities abroad as long as you full fill the eligibility criteria for admission however please make sure that by the time you apply to university you must have cleared all your backlogs.
Please remember every university has its own course specific eligibility criteria for admission, in order to know the exact eligibility criteria it would be always advisable to browse through the university's website you wish to apply.
Overall, in order to pursue masters degree from universities in US, you need to have relevant undergraduate degree from recognized univers
