As per the placement record of 2014-16 batch the highest package offered was 14lakhs by amazon, highest package aquired is 8.25 lakhs, and the average package is between 4.5 to 5.5. 94% of the 2014-16 batch are already placed.

I will advise u to not drop for IIT because now IIT is also is higher fees like private colleges and IIT onely matter is placement.and u can be jobless after IIT if u will not show ur talent (work) companies. so u can also earn good package. companies need talent not they will offer job onely the name of colleges.
