The sample papers, duration, format of the paper and marks distribution of LPUNEST for every course is provided in detail at the website. One can refer to the syllabus and sample papers available at the lpunest link to prepare for LPUNEST.
The syllabus and format of the paper is different for every course as LPUNEST is purely course specific. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. LPUNEST is considered for offering scholarships as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes.

10+2 qualification in any stream,
A minimum aggregate score of 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the 10+2 level.

Last year the cutoff was 81 for general category and closing rank of civil engineering in NIT Patna was 28,800 approx for other state and 31000 approx for Home State in 7th round.130 marks will give you NIT Patna but you have to be patient because you may be allotted in last round but you have the good chance to get it.
But again anything can be said more accurately on the basis newest cutoff.
