I think you're asking about preparation for banking exam. Banking exam is different from that of others. Because in this exam you have to RANK, not just pass. There is no syllabus and no important questions. You just have a bundle of subjects to study. These subjects are Mathematics, English, Reasoning, General Awareness, Financial Awareness and knowledge, Marketing basics generally. GK is considered to be a tough part and to preapare for it you'll have to read, read and read as much as you can. Read newspapers(preferably Business Line, Economic Times, The Hindu etc.), read career and competition magazines like CSR etc., watch nbusiness news channels like BBS, CNN, CNBC etc., prepare notes, go online for GK knowledge(websites like gjtutorial helps a lot), make a concrete time-table and follow it honestly and strictly too. For maths, practice the last year and sample question papers, measure time and accuracy of yours and balance them. For reasoning, work on accuracy, work on thinking logically, solve puzzles,. For english, work hard grammar, read dictinary to enhance vocab, don't miss the editorial section in the newspapers, work on reading fast and solve comprehensive passages.
