In most organisations the PMO has five main responsibilities:
1.Ensure project management standards are followed
2.Gathering of project data and production of information for management review
3.Source of guidance and advice for project managers
4.Managing and facilitating the portfolio management process
5.Set standards for how projects are run
If you ensure you are good in the above 5, then you are good at your work. If not you can easily find where you are wrong and find a solution.

Dear Tushar,
You are pursuing B.M.S. (I Yr) and want to change into B.M.M. (II Yr).
If the Sem - I & Sem - II/ I Yr possess the same core subjects common to both the courses and if there is a vacancy then the institute shall change (subject to university's approval)
But I would suggest you to complete the graduation and then pursue the latter at Post Graduate level.
