1. Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in engineering, science, mathematics, etc. An advanced degree is desirable.
2. At least 1000 hours pilot in command time in jet aircraft. Flight test experience is highly desirable.

1. Commercial pilot: You can become a commercial pilot by joining pilot (Flying) training schools.
2. Flying Pilot in Indian Air Force: You can join Indian air force flying branch by appearing for NDA after class 12th board with PCM or CDS after science graduation degree. NDA and CDS examinations are conducted by UPSC.
Following are the basic eligibility criterion to become a commercial pilot:
A. You should have completed class 12th with physics, chemistry and mathematics as your major subjects.
B. You must have scored 50% marks in above mentioned education.
