Do not go for diplomas / degrees in animation / game design. They are usually expensive and generally not wo

Hotel management and engineering are diverse fields with very minimal overlap except in engineering service functions. Engineering itself is a good career option. You can have engineering career in top hotels in maintenance and support functions ( Electrical, Mechanical and Transportation). If you want to make a career in the core functions of the hospitality industry, then you can do hotel management after B.Tech. You need to be sure of your interests and preferences.

Yes, you can, but if you are looking for a good college and great marks, you probably need to focus more on CAT and devote time. It is advisable to give more mock exams, if you can manage both then you can go ahead.

Yes.
If your friend studies in CBSE class 11th in science then he/she can change the subject, but remember CBSE allows change of subjects only up to a limited time. For example, if one has non-med and wants to go to commerce or humanities then he/she should immediately submit the application to the Principal/Management.
I think school co-ordinators also alert you once in class 11th if someone wishes to change the subject. Otherwise, it will be too late for taking a decision.
Moreover, I don't think in class 12th CBSE allows subject change.
All the best.
