1) You may opt for M.Tech if you wish to study the technical aspect of the branch .
2) You may pursue MBA if you wish to move your career towards management line.

After B.Tech, there are some institute specific entrances to pursue M.Tech other than GATE. But, it would be advisable to opt for M.Tech after clearing GATE exam as it opens more doors of esteemed universities such as IITs, NITs, IIITs etc.

Generally, every student receives a GATE score which is associated with two points, i.e., valid time period and qualifying marks. Your score is only valid when it is above or equal to the score of qualifying marks.
