The decision depends on you. If you are targeting CET Exam only then definitely, you can work and prepare for it simultaneously. For CAT exam, you need to dedicate some more time compared to other exams. If you are working hours are good enough and are providing you ample time for CAT, then go for it. Otherwise, you need to take a year gap for dedicated preparation.
Your decision will depend on the colleges you are targeting.

You have a good academic record. Try maintaining your graduation marks above 60%.
Most of the good B-schools demand CAT scores, however, your MAT scores are also good.

If you want to go for some additional courses, you can choose according to your choice and most important as per your interest.

To be eligible for admission in XIMR, you would have to appear for the MHCET 2017 exam. Once you have secured a score, you will have to apply to the college through DTE prescribed CAP rounds or directly to the college for institute level seats.
As far as I know, the procedure is similar for other colleges offering MMS. For PGDM, the process varies for each institute. I think, among the top colleges KJ Somaiya and Welingkar take applications based on CMAT. You will have to look at their past cut offs for a better picture.
