Candidates who have passed 10+2 in Science stream (class 12th) with physics, chemistry and maths/biology/agriculture as the subjects can opt for Bachelors degree as B.Sc Agriculture Science.
The career scope for students of B.Sc agriculture is quite ample these days. With the required qualification in addition to the sufficient wok experience, it is possible for aspirants to get good jobs. Those who desire to continue their education into the advanced levels can do so as well.
Many areas are available for a person to choose from if they wish to go for a career in agriculture.

Career Opportunities after B.Sc Agriculture
Jobs can be got by students of B.Sc agriculture with firms of the private or public sectors. With public sector firms, one can get employed as Agricultural Research Scientist (ARS). But to get employed into this position, it will be needed for applicants to write an admission test. Job opportunities are also available for applicants as teachers. They can write the ARS-NET exam and get employed with colleges as lecturers. Jobs are also available for aspirants as Agriculture Development Officers (ADO) or as Block Development Officers. A few other areas where employment is offered to students of B.Sc horticulture encompass banks, Dairy consultancies, insurance companies and the animal industry.

The options are unlimited, as you have done your class 12 with science. With the combination of biology, physics and chemistry you can take up medicine, dentistry, Pharmacy, agricultural science, dairy science or biological sciences (biochemistry, biotechnology, Microbiology). Apart from doing the degree level courses in science with the conventional combinations you can also choose degree courses in several emerging professional areas, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, computer, business administration, hotel management, tourism management etc. you can also opt for courses outside the university stream, such as hotel management, fashion technology, industrial design, packaging, aircraft maintenance engineering, government accredited computer courses and a host of post 10 + 2 level vocational courses. For pursuing a course in engineering you should have Maths as compulsory subject in 10+2. However, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, Website: www.aiims.ac.in or www.aiims.edu, offers B.Tech (Biotechnology) with Class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. To get admission in the top medical college in India you would need to score above 90% in 12th and do very well in entrance exam. With a PCM combination of subjects, you can pursue almost any field you set your mind on. You can ofcourse do Engineering which is a professional degree and has streams such as Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic and Communication etc. You can do your graduation in subjects of your interest, even switching to Humanities or Commerce streams if you so desire. You can do a BCA (Computer Applications), BBA (Business Administration), Law, Civil Aviation – Pilot, Astronomy, Architecture, Design, Mass Communication, Merchant Navy, Defense Forces, Psychology, Civil Services etc. To decide on the course, you should analyse your strengths, career goals, interests, personality, aptitude and ability. If you decide based on these parameters you will put in your best effort and will be successful in your chosen field.
