SIES is a Tamil Linguistic Minority Institute. Hence 51 per cent seats of all programs are reserved for Maharashtra domiciled students with 'Tamil' as the mother tongue. ( PGDM & MMS )
However, if adequate number of qualified candidates is not available from the above category, such seats are made open to general candidates. Further, all admissions to SIESCOMS are based purely on merit. The only exception is children of employees of SIES institutions.a. MMS and PGDM students both sit together for final placements and internships. However, MMS being a university course has an acknowledge if you planning for further studies outside India. On pan India level both courses are considered at par by most of the companies as they are both industry ready courses.

No engineering branch is meant only for boys except mining related branches. so u can do mechanical engineering, as it has now become the most preferred branch leaving behind CS.
And you can also go for CS, as most of the students who choose CS do not have much knowledge about CS, good colleges teach you even the most basic concepts.

ILS forms will be available along with the minority forms ( as it was last year ) if any changes or updates are there with regards to availability of the forms on the website i suggest you keep a check on the website and download application forms and open it to check if there is any minority/ILS option available. Just to make sure you don't miss out on deadlines for submission of application form.

Every university has a placement cell. In order to check on the company and their placement, I recommend you visit VJTI's website and also try and speak with the existing students about their experience in VJTI pursuing various courses.
Also, admissions in college / universities vary from place to place and as per guidelines set forth by the institutions. Please contact the desired college / university on the exact procedure for the same.
