Hi Rail, Both CA and ACCA have almost same course. CA follow Indian accounting standards although new syllabus has included IFRS as an elective paper. But, ACCA purely follows International accounting standards (IFRS)
In India Acca is still in growing pace but CA is the most respectable degree of commerce. ACCA is an international degree and is valid across the globe. A further difference is mentioned below:
I) Relevance:CA from ICAI is the only one qualification that allows a person to practice as a Chartered Accountant in India, while ACCA is the one qualification that can be called a truly global Chartered Accountancy qualification. In India also ACCA students are getting placed easily in Big 4 and MNCs. Ii) Toughness: CA being regarded as one of the toughest qualification to pass has its own value and standing. ACCA is by no means easy to pass and Indian students will definitely have to switch from the rote learning methods to one based on understanding and application. But the absence of group system will take away the frustration attached to doing CA and make it easier to pass. Iii) Cost: Being a UK qualification, ACCA is far costlier than doing CA. Iv) Average salary: Both the professions do not gave much difference in pay scale. CA command average salary of 3-9 Lacs pa. On the other hand ACCA command 4-10 Lacs pa. Thank you.

Campus Placements for the session 2020-21 saw some big names such as Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Hewlett Packard, SAP Labs, Samsung, L&T recruiting engineering students from Chandigarh University. A record number of 3750 engineering students were selected during the campus placements in which more than 240 multinational companies participated. In total there was a jump of 30% in number of total companies visiting the CU campus for campus placements of engineering students while there was jump of 70% in the number of core branch companies which selected the fresh talent.
Moreover the total number of offers made to the engineering students also saw a rise of 60% in comparison to last year. Of the total 240 Engineering sector companies, more than 100 MNCs offered pay-package of more than 5 LPA while number of companies offering package of more than 10 LPA touched 25 this year. It is notable that highest package of Rs. 35 LPA was offered by TOP Company.
Computer Science and IT branches leads campus placements at Chandigarh University
Computer Science Engineering students of University Institute of Engineering (UIE) created history as Top Multi-National offered highest package of Rs. 35 lacs for the Engineering branch. IT giants such as Microsoft, IBM, SAP Labs, Hewlett Packard visited CU and recruited more than 2030 CSE/IT Engineering students. World's top IT giant Microsoft selected Computer Science and IT Engineering students consecutively for the last three years, while the number of the selections have increased three times and touched 15. Indias leading IT Company Wipro (394), Capgemini (217), Mindtree (101) while the global IT giant IBM also selected a record number of 196 engineering students which is the highest number of selections made in any campus in North India.
