There are two ways of doing graduation in engineering after completion of Diploma. One is via lateral admission. In this method, you need to apply online in your state's admission portal and depending on your marks you get college. But admission is restricted to similar subjects. Invariably matrix is given on the portal. The other method is via entrance exam in 1st year of Engineering wherein Diploma is considered as equivalent to class 12th. Best wishes.
