Please let us know in detail about your past academic background for better advice, however for your reference please remember in order to pursue Phd, from universities in Canada, you need to first of all make a list of the universities that you aspire for, then send emails to respective course department, asking them to provide you the eligibility criteria and selection procedure for PHD students.
It may take three to six years to complete your PHD, depending on the field you select and your mentor.
The general eligibility criteria for PHD students are as follows:
In majority of the institutes master's degree is an essential pre-requisite for a Ph.D.
It is important that you have good scores in common entrance tests such as GRE and English Language examinations like TOEFL or IELTS.
Internships or other work experience will add to your qualifications.
So as per your query I would suggest you to:
- Shortlist the universities where you wish to pursue Phd.
- Once shortlisted you may then contact the admission department of these universities, either through email or phone to know the eligibility criteria for admission.
- If you meet the eligibility criteria you may then apply accordingly.

Eligibility to pursue Diploma in Law- Graduation degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
Also, as per the Bar Council of India-
No student shall be allowed to simultaneously register for a law degree
program with any other graduate or postgraduate or certificate course run by the
same or any other University or an Institute for academic or professional
learning excepting in the integrated degree program of the same institution.
Provided that any short period part time certificate course on language,
computer science or computer application of an Institute or any course run by a
Center for Distance Learning of a University however, shall be accepted.
So, it is advisable that you pick 3 year LLB degree program after BBA.
