In Marine Biology is that candidates should have completed a B.Sc. Degree in Fishery Science, Fisheries & Aquaculture, B.F.Sc. (Bachelor in Fisheries Science), B.Sc. Industrial Fisheries, B.Sc. Industrial Fish & Fisheries, B.F.Sc. (NS) Bachelor of Fishery Science (Nautical Science) with a minimum of 55% from any recognised institute/university.

Minimum Educational Qualification for GIC Assistant Manager:
For Finance or Accounts: A Bachelor of Commerce Degree from a recognised University with min 60 percent mark in the degree examination for General and OBC category students and at least 55 percent marks for SC or ST category students or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government with the prescribed benchmark. For General: Graduation in any discipline with min 60 percent marks for General and OBC and min 55 percent marks for SC or ST category from a recognised university. For Legal: Students must possess LL.B. Or BL degree from a recognised University with min 60 percent mark in the degree examination for open and OBC category students and min 55 percent mark for SC or ST students or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government with the prescribed benchmark. For Insurance: Graduation in any discipline with min 60 percent mark in the degree examination for open and OBC students and min 55 percent mark for SC or ST students or any equivalent qualification-recognised university.
