For those who are just starting, it is time for action. By understanding the Preliminary and Main Examination requirements, one need to plan daily activities as only limited time is there in your hands.
There is no strategy or preparation-plan which can be used as a template. Each candidate has different level of talent, capacity and traits which make it difficult to emulate strategies of even successful candidates.
However, we are suggesting a preparation-plan keeping in mind the Prelims and Main examination related requirements and the limited time at your disposal.
Time till mid-April 2012 should be utilized for preparing General Studies (Prelims paper I and Main Exam). As Prelims Paper II is sort of mind-game and has few constituents which are conventional in nature and test your aptitude which require you to learn some new skills. This should be part of daily activity for a change whenever you feel you get bored of routine study-plan.
As it would be difficult to manage two optional subject preparations during June-September 2012 period, it is prudent to devote at least 4-5 hours a day to one of the optional subject which is new to you till mid-February. Few hours each week-end should be kept for your other optional subject to learn basics and gathering some insights relating to that.
After completing one optional subject preparation, keep preparing General Studies and concentrate on Preliminary Examination related practice which is going to help you in examination hall. From mid-April 2012 to Prelims exam day your priority should be Preliminary Examination only.
Major portion of time available after Prelims in May till mid-September 2012, should be kept for your second optional subject which is to be prepared and revised thoroughly during this limited time available. During this period, some time should be kept for revision of General Studies, essay and the optional paper you prepared before Prelims.
The whole plan discussed here is only indicative and it is up to you decide what suits you the best. Take some clue from this and formulate a plan of your own which helps you reach your destination.

Also there are various parameters that define your candidature for jobs in companies such as education, soft skills, confidence, team spirit, etc.
