Master in Business Administration (MBA)
MBA is a two year full time programme is provided by the institutes recognised by central and state universities after completing graduation in any discipline.
MBA is awarded by Indian Universities recognised by UGC & who are members of Association of Indian Universities. Recognised MBA or PGDM (two year course), both qualifies you for pursuing PhD from any Indian University.
Often considered as a traditional course, MBA is more of an academic approach towards management. But those who cannot afford to do PGDM can go for MBA as both are equal in terms of job opportunities.
Masters in Management (MIM)
Some of the foreign universities offer one year MIM programme, focusing on an area of specialisation from day one. Career opportunities are almost the same as compared to MBA or PGDM.
MBA is for applicants with work experience and Masters in Management is for applicants without work experience. MBA course is more intensive than MIM.
For selecting the specialization in MBA, I would suggest choose the field in which your interest is more. As both MBA (Finance) and MBA (IT) has great scope.

Getting a University transfer (changing university with a course in continuity) is a difficult and a rare option as compared to the change of colleges under the same University. Definitely the value of such a course is always questionable and may lead to identity issues for the course recognition in the market.
Still I would suggest you to first contact the University where you plan to take the transfer and inquire whether such provisions are available or not based on which you may then decide further.

Delhi College of Engineering is the old name of DTU, It is the mother institution of IIT-Delhi & SPA-Delhi both. 100% recognized, world-wide respected, accepted & renowned. There are BE in morning and B Tech in evening courses in the graduation section. All of the courses (and not only the B Tech Evening) are fully recognized from every authority. Fully approved syllabus from AICTE, DTU is UGC recognized university. You are 100% eligible for GATE after passing B Tech Evening of DTU. Many of my friends are B Tech from DTU after diploma, B Tech/BE+M Tech both in the evening and morning graduation after qualifying GATE, BE & MBA as a morning shift student, etc. from the same university. I have even worked as a site engineer of the PG Hostel of DTU. Bingo, go ahead and grasp the opportunity. You are going to enter the world level institution. My answer is no doubt the best answer, please rate it as a best answer.
