This entrance comprises of two parts viz. - General Awareness and Descriptive Test.
The General Awareness section is an objective type test comprising of 40 marks with questions on current social, political and economic, national and international issues, major national and global events (sports, scientific and technological breakthroughs), and media awareness.
The descriptive section tests communication skills around writing of news, features, interviews and opinion; critical evaluation of mass media and its media content; reviews and criticism (books, films, radio and television programs), sentence structure, idioms, synonyms and antonyms, composition and comprehension, precis writing etc.
***A comprehensive plan in studies will help you reach your target . The time table for the study plan should be in tune with your daily needs and schedule.
***As far as the preparation is concerned, I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday at reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. and for GK, you can refer Competition Success Review for updates on current affairs.

Scope :
There are many employment options available in both private and public sector. The Department of Agriculture, National Institutes of Health, along with the Environmental Protection Agency are few of the public agencies which employ them.
Scope and salary depends on you. If you have interest in the field then you may get promoted and enjoy the benefits with increased salary.

Public Health :
Scope :
One can begin a career as pathologist and medical representatives. Professionals work in both the public and private sectors.
The jobs available at health departments range from Food Safety Inspectors to Health Educators; from Policy Analysts to Epidemiologists. One may even work in university systems as researchers.
Those interested in working for a non-profit organization can find jobs in health advocacy, policy or research for organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the Red Cross or a local non-profit that focuses on specific health issues.
Salary :
With MPH one can earn from Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 45,000/- per month. However this varies on the basis of post and experience one have.

Salary :
Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc.
But, still, to give you a brief idea,
-At initial level : Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000 per month
-After earning relevant experience : Rs.40,000.
-The pay scale of an administrator who is working for a medium level hospital ranges around Rs.30,000 per month.
-There is no limit for deserving candidates to earn high remuneration.

Directorate of Technical Education in few states have agreed to direct admission into M.C.A 2nd year.
**Graduates with a computer science background will be allowed to directly enroll in the second year of Masters of Computer Applications degree program in colleges and universities across India.
**The All India Council for Technical Education has approved a policy decision to allow graduates in Bachelor of Computer Applications, B.Sc Information Technology and B.Sc Computer Science to get lateral entry admissions into MCA course from 2013-14.
