Yes, for the first two years, you have to take courses in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Earth Science. I don't think that it's a problem even if you don't have biology in class 12th, the faculty at IISER-Pune is aware of this and are more than capable of accounting for it. Don't be surprised if, at the end of two years, you end up loving biology.

The true difference between B.Sc and B.Sc (Hons) lies in the university or the country that offers the degree. This is said because you will see that some countries such as England offer the title B.Sc (Hons) even for a general Science degree. Some countries do not. For example, in Australia to have the title of B.Sc (Hons), you have to study for four to five years, depending on your study stream. B.Sc stands for Bachelor of Science. B.Sc (Hons) stands for Bachelor of Science Honours. A B.Sc is generally considered an ordinary pass degree and B.Sc (Hons) is looked upon as an extraordinary degree. B.Sc (Hons) is supposed to have a heavi

Gauging MFMs worth is a matter of individual expectations from the programme. Some may find MFM extremely worthwhile while others may trash it altogether. Worth according to me is the function of:
Expectations from the programme and institute
Career path decided upon by the student
That said. Mfm in spite of carrying the word management is primarily a buying and merchandising programme. Remember that NIFT is a design school. Even though management subjects are taught as a part of MFM curriculum, the depth is lacking on the management front. The profiles which pop up after MFM are around 60% from buying and merchandising. The rest 40% is r

Hi Ankit,
Which course are you asking about? However, Engineering applicants have to pass the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. For UG Law and Economics courses, the applicants have to pass 10+2 with Commerce/Mathematics as main subjects. Students with gap year are not allowed to take admission in the B.Tech+M.Tech integrated course. Admission in Nursing programme is based upon INC guidelines. Candidates have to score 45% in 10+2 in PCB group along with English. The minimum age limit for such students is 17 years. Students with valid NATA score will get preference during admission in the B.Arch programme

Hi Sathya,
Basic knowledge of the computer is enough. You will be taught the necessary software required for your profession during the course. All you need to appear for the NID Entrance Exam is your creativity, drawing and sketching skills, and your portfolio.
