You can choose ECE at North east NITs . Other alternative will be ECE in reputed GFTIs like JNU. These are lower fee options.

You can get CSE/IT/ Data Science/ECE etc. in IIITs as well but fees higher (roughly 2 to 2.5 times NITs). NITs also have fee waiver schemes based on parental income less than 5 lakh/annum, which IIITs don't have. You will get better branches in C S A B rounds only, so do participate in C S A B.

Also advisable that you renew your EWS certificate, because JoSAA asks for fresh certificates after certain cut off date, which it will publish on its website. Best wishes.

The Mess Food at DY Patil University, Pune is Better than many other colleges as many of my friends from other colleges said about their mess food condition which is not that good. It is not very tasty like the restaurants or like home cooked food. But surely not as bad as people generally think about mess food. Mess food is decent but the problem is that it gets repeated after every week unlike at home. This is the main reason why mess food becomes boring after some time.I would like to add that the food is not always good Sometimes it is bad. Like the veg specials are really very bad in taste. But these are served only 2–3 times
