Yes, the admission to B.E. / B.Tech course in Government Engineering College, Bhuj during 2025-26 academic session is already open and under-way. It operates under an umbrella of ACPC Gujarat in a centralized manner. Round 1 of GUJCET seat allotment was announced on June 13, 2025, and confirmations made on June 17, 2025. Non-registered candidates to be offered the available seats will be able to register on-line between June 19-25, 2025. The hostel food mess at Government Engineering College, Bhuj (GEC Bhuj) is usually appreciated with most of the respondents giving positive feedback, such as; good, hygienic, and is/was like home. The quality also pleases the students, considering the hostel fees are very low. Although old reviews give an idea that there might have been some inconsistency or closure of mess facilities, newer reviews indicate a working mess. The menu is usually simple and has plain Indian meals which offer great value.

Training and Placement cell at Government Engineering College, Bhuj (GEC Bhuj) is very active. This cell aims at developing employability in students through workshops, career counselling and mock interviews. B.E./B.Tech at GEC Bhuj offers great opportunity to those students, who care more about getting good and cheap education in Gujarat in engineering. Being the only engineering college of the government in Kutch it has commendably low fees and is a recognised college of GTU. It has good infrastructure, mature and well supportive faculty and also provides diverse programs. It is a good area to get decent placement opportunities, particularly, with local industries as it offers a decent degree which is recognized.

Hostel accommodation in Government Engineering College, Bhuj is very affordable going at about 1,500 per annum to 3400 per annum. These charges do not include the mess fees which will be more when provided. The extremely low price is often commended by students, which makes it a very inexpensive place of accomodation. To get the accurate and up to date information on fees, mess arrangements etc. it would be prudent to enquire with the college administration itself.

Yes, Government Engineering College, Bhuj (GEC Bhuj) is a reputed institute especially in the state of Gujarat. It was founded in 1994 and it is considered to be the only government engineering college at the Kutch district, which also provides an education that is very cheap. A long history, part of GTU, strong rebuilding following the 2001 earthquake, and positive student opinion about it in general, make it well known and well regarded in the region, with respect to future engineers in Gujarat.
