Cranfield Campus

Shrivenham Campus

As the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Shrivenham campus has partnered with the Ministry of Defence, UK. It is responsible for providing postgraduate training in Business, Leadership, and Technology. The campus supports the following research facilities:

Cranfield On-Campus

Cranfield on-campus accommodation can be availed by all the full-time students. 

Cost of Living in Cranfield On-Campus Accommodation

Living in the Cranfield campus of Bedfordshire is considerably cheaper than the other major cities of the UK such as London. Nevertheless, it is recommended to have accommodation and living expense budget of £12,000 for students coming in with a partner or family.

On average, Cranfield University gives its admission decisions in two to three weeks. There may be several reasons leading to a rejected application. The common reasons are:

• University receiving a lot of better applications than seats available in a course

• Applicants failing to meet the standard entry requirements

Under any case of an unsuccessful application, the university is not liable to provide feedback to the applicants explaining the reasons behind an acceptance or rejection. However, if students wish to attain feedback on a rejected application, they may send an email* to the Admissions Office for the Cranfield campus and Registry for the Shrivenham campus. The authorities revert to such queries within 10 working days.

Graduate Level Eligibility Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in honours or a professional subject

• English proficiency score of either of the following:

• IETLS: 6.5

• TOEFL: 92

• PTE Academic: 65

• Cambridge English: 180

• Cambridge English – Advanced: C grade

• Cambridge English – Proficiency: C grade

• Trinity College London ISE III - Pass

MBA Eligibility Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least first division score (more than 60%)

• At least three years of work experience

• Standardised exam score of either of the following:

• GMAT: Over 600

• GRE: Minimum 80th percentile for both verbal and quantitative reasoning

• English proficiency score of either of the following:

• IELTS: 7 overall

• TOEFL: 100

• PTE Academic: 68

• Cambridge English Scale: 190

• Cambridge English – Advanced: C grade

• Cambridge English – Proficiency: C grade

• Trinity College London ISE III: Pass

PhD Eligibility Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree* with a first or upper-second class

• Master’s degree* in a taught subject

• English proficiency score** of either of the following:

• IELTS: Minimum overall score of 7.0 and minimum writing score of 6.5

• TOEFL Internet-based Test: Minimum total score of 100 and minimum writing score of 26

• PTE Academic: Minimum overall score of 68

• Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English: Minimum of Grade C

• Cambridge English Scale: Minimum scale score of 190 in any scale scored test

• Trinity College London ISE III: Pass

*Non-UK graduates must be able to provide equivalent international qualification.

**English proficiency test score should not be older than two years.

Note: The applicants who do not meet the necessary entry requirements of English tests may attend Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses. Cranfield offers these courses as part of its Winter, Spring, and Summer programmes.

Admission to the BTech CSE programme is done both via seeing the merit of the previous exams or entrance exams1. The eligibility criteria for the course B.Tech CSE is students have to qualify 10+2 with a minimum of 55% marks from the Science stream. The NITs grant admission on the basis of JEE Main (representational photo) The highest JEE Main rank at which a National Institute of Technology (NIT) closed admission to unreserved seats in BTech in Computer Science and Engineering in 2020 was 2,043 at NIT Warangal.
