Joint Entrance Examination (JEXPO) is conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (annually) for the selection of eligible candidates to 1st year diploma courses.
Questions on each subject will be based on the syllabus of Madhyamik Examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and shall be in English language with Bengali version.
The examination paper consists of multiple choice objective questions on each paper consisting of Mathematics (100 marks: 2 hours duration) and Physics & Chemistry (100 marks: 2 hours duration). For getting a very good rank in JEXPO you should follow the syllabus and books prescribed by the Madhyamik Examination thoroughly.
You can set a proper learning plan for the test. Equal importance must be given for all subjects. Revision should be done frequently for attaining better result. It is advisable to go for mock tests regularly. This will help one to find out the mistakes. It is good to go through the last year question papers.
Model question papers of the preceding years can be got from all leading book stores. Sometimes, guide books one buy will contain a few question papers. Besides this, one can always search the internet and download question papers. Numerous sites will provide one with these papers.

1. Five-year course
Qualification- 10 +2 with minimum of 50% marks
Age: Not more than 20 years
2. Three year course
Qualification- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 50% marks
No age limit
For undergraduate program, there are eleven National Law University that conduct a common entrance test for Bachelors in Law known as Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Some other universities conduct their own admissions tests. Some of them are Symbiosis Entrance Test conducted by the Symbiosis campus, NLU Delhi Admission Test conducted by NLU Delhi and NLU Orissa Admission Test conducted by NLU Orissa.
