The UGC NET exam is organized for assistant professor selection in university and junior research fellow. The CSIR NET exam is also organized for the same purpose. The difference between both exams is that CSIR NET Exam is held for Science stream candidates while UGC NET Exam is held for commerce, arts and other stream candidates. The CSIR NET Exam is held for chemical Science, Physical Science, Mathematical Science, life Science and earth Science. The candidates can apply for their post-graduation subject or its related subjects only. As you have completed the M.Sc. In Biotechnology, you can apply for CSIR NET life Science subject. The other eligibility criteria is as follows:
Educational: You must have a post-graduation degree with more than 55%marks (for general category) from recognized university. Age limit: There is no age limit for assistant professor post but for NET JRF your age must be below 28 years. You are eligible to apply for your PG or its related subjects. To make a proper strategy for preparation, it is better to analyze the paper pattern and qualifying criteria of the exam firstly. By analyzing that you will get an idea about the marking weightage of the topics and the question types which will asked in the examination. The upcoming UGC NET exam will be conducted by the NTA from 2nd December to 6th December 2019. UGC NET exam has two papers I. e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
