Admission to SNDT Women's University is based on prior academic performance. While the majority of programmes base their decisions on your prior performance, some courses require the MHT-CET entrance exam.

In order to qualify for final exams, you need to receive at least a 40% on your internal assessments (10 out of 25 marks). The final semester tests have the same passing %; you must receive at least 30 out of a possible 75 points to pass.

Recall that participation in hands-on learning is required. In order to assure your success, SNDT Women's University essentially prioritises your academic record, possible entrance examinations, and your active involvement in practical sessions.

• Candidates have to apply online Through website

• • Once found eligible, the Department will send a google form link to the registered, eligible candidates via mail to the email addresses provided by the applicant.

  • This Google form has to be filled with precision. In case of errors, application will not be processed further. Candidates are advised to fill the form as accurately as possible and provide the correct working email addresses.

  • Admissions for outstation candidates will be based on the rules outlined by the Government of Maharashtra.

  • Once the merit list is displayed, all selected candidates will be informed the same telephonically as well as via email wherein they will be called offline for document verification alongwith their online application form and original marksheets & certificates.

  • After document verification, the candidates will proceed to pay the fees with the admin clerk.

  Unless all documents required by the Department are submitted, admission will remain provisional.

Candidates seeking admission to the University must meet the qualifying standards established by the institution. Admissions are made based on the results of the qualifying examination. However, for some courses, the University administers an entrance exam known as MHT-CET.

In 1951 the University acquired statutory recognition from the Government of Maharashtra. This recognition came along with the rare privilege of jurisdiction across the country.

Today the University has three campuses-Pune, Churchgate and Juhu in Mumbai. In addition to 39 university Departments and 13 constituent colleges/ institutions located on Four campuses, it has 166affiliated colleges in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa Madhya Pardesh, Uttar Pradesh. It has an enrolment of over 70,000 students in liberal and professional programmes. These are offered thought 12 Faculties Viz Arts, Fine Arts, Social Science, Commerce, Science Education, Home Science, Law, Technology Management, Library and Information Science and social work.

As the University updated its campuses in Pune and Mumbai, its ideology and distinct purpose solidified. The placement drive for 2023 is still ongoing. The complete placement report is yet to be released. However, the University has released the list of recruiters who participated during IKGPTU placements 2023 such as TCS, HDFC Bank, Decathlon, Infosys,  etc.

The University has also released the 2023 NIRF report. As per the report,  55 BTech, 9 MTech, and 2 MBA students were placed during IK Gujral Punjab Technical University placements 2022. The median package for BTech stood at INR 4.50 LPA. For MTech and MBA courses, the median package stood at INR 3 LPA and INR 2.70 LPA, respectively.
