Briefly, the admission process at SDMIMD is conducted in Two stages.
The first stage will be the scrutiny of application with emphasis on entrance test Scores and a consistent academic record, work experience and extra curricular activities like achievements in sports, debate etc. will count. Shortlisted applicants will be called for the personal interview.
In the Second stage, interviews will be held during February and March 2013 at 7-8 locations across India.

Regular Admission is granted to those applicants who have fulfilled all the admission requirements and whose name appears in the regular merit list of successful applicants.
Corporate Sponsored, NRI/ NRI Sponsored and International Student category: Upto 15% seats are allotted on following conditions:
1.Candidates are directly called for GD / PI. They may also appear without CAT/MAT/XAT exam.
2.It is a separate merit based on GD / PI and Graduation score.
3.The fee as per schedule will be deposited annually in advance.
4.In case of corporate sponsored, the sponsoring company must have annual turnover of minimum Rs.50 crore.
'Following documents are required at the time of interview:
1.Passport copy plus evidence of NRI status e.g. work permit/Employment Pass/Permanent Residence, Notary attested in the country of residence of NRI or by the foreign embassy in India.
2.A sponsorship letter from NRI as per Annexure- 2.
3.Original marks sheet for 10th Std. exam., 10+2 exam, graduation exam (with minimum 50% marks) and related degree, certificates for date of birth and work experience (if any).
Call for GD/PI:
There is no cut-off pre-defined, but the merit list is prepared on the basis of CAT/XAT/MAT percentile for calling candidates for GD and Interview in a ratio of 1:10 for total number of seats in all the programmes after all the applications have been received by closing dates.

Essay Writing 10%
CAT percentile 15%
Graduation % 5%
10+2/Higher Secondary % 5%
Misc.* 30%
*Suitable weightages for Work Experience, Academic & Regional background, Professional Qualification etc. are also given.
