Selecting a college is purely and entirely your decision. It would be tough to state a college as the best as every college has it's own plus and minus points.
While selecting, you just need to keep in mind the chief point that is to check the recognition whether the college is AICTE / UGC approved or not.
Other than this, you also need to check year of establishment, syllabus, faculty, fees, placements etc. You may directly contact the college officials for specific information.
Be careful while selecting a college as merely getting a degree is not enough for this competitive world.

Regarding preparation of GD and PI, then for your reference find below some tips for regarding how to prepare for Group discussion:
In most of the good colleges GDs are held on current topics related to sports, economics, business etc, so you need to be aware of all the latest current affairs, for this you should read news papers and magazines.
GD is a team activity, so while participating you should express your views very clearly at the same time you also should give chance to others members in team to speak.
It is always advisable to take initiative and speak first if you know about the topic, but if you are not aware of the topic you should listen to others first and then speak.
As soon as you get to know the topic don't immediately start the discussion take 1-2 minutes time, jort down the points and then speak.
While speaking in GD your tone should not be aggressive, it should be polite and humble.
When the discussion is over, it would be good if you give the final conclusion on behalf of the group.
To do well in interview, please keep in mind the following tips:
- Be comfortable.
- Listen attentively.
- Avoid nervous mannerisms.
- Speak clearly.
- Be positive and enthusiastic.
While giving answers to questions:
- Be Concise.
- Provide Examples.
- Be Honest.

A degree is always acceptable as long as it is from a recognized University and a proper degree. It doesn't matter whether you have completed it in the regular mode of distance one. All you need to get good marks to be eligible for the marks criteria of the PhD nomination and then you need to clear the other criterias like PhD entrance, Synopsis submission etc.
Regarding the jobs, it depends on the college, course structure and the student ability to crack the interview. For the abroad jobs, it's better to get some experience from your own country, because it's quite hard to get good jobs in abroad for a fresher.
