One way to check is the cut-offs that they follow for admission process. In SSN, the cutoffs are generally at CAT/XAT &get; 60 percentile and MAT/CMAT&get; 80 percentile. We do not go down or lower these cutoffs even in work experienced applicants. You could cross check this from the institutions that you are planning and then decide the quality of the institution. As a potential student, you need to check with few students or admissions office as to what level the cutoff is maintained. This will be a very good indicative factor of quality.

Hi Dhruvesh,
To give a judgement with your score might be dicey. In general, people scoring 70 percentile and above do get a chance to give GD and PI. This does not give any surety regarding your selection. For IES, your score is just one parameter and others are based on your performance in GD and PI and if you have any work experience then it would add on to your score. So, as of now, start preparing for GD and PI.
All the best.

Hi Sonia, Clearly, it depends on what kind of job you wish to do after studying. Please ask yourself whether you want a research oriented work, do you want to work in embedded systems, do you like telecommunications, do you want to shift your career and do management and so on. There is no particular stream which is good or bad but depends on your own interest. Please make a career goal and figure out what to do and decide accordingly. You can also get a job and work for 1-2 years while exploring your interests.

Hi Anurag, A very slim chance is there and depends on how strong your profile otherwise is besides the percentage you secured. Excellent letters of recommendations, projects, internship, publication work, research oriented work, patents etc. And also the statement of purpose will be evaluated. Your application will scrutinized more strictly because of the low percentage. Do keep in mind that is low for German universities, if you apply to universities in other countries such as Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark etc. You may have possibility of admission. You can also try in Australia. You have to clear the IELTS in addition.
