My entire family worked in government but my father discouraged me to get into the government job as in his own life he felt that he could not achieve even 5% of his real potential which is true. Private jobs are surely the best which are far more rewarding and world's all luxuries and comforts are enjoyed by the executives from the private sector which is unimaginable in government unless someone is in the level of federal government secretary. Moreover, the private sector has much lesser corruption.
The salaries, perks, rewards, comfort, luxuries, lifestyle, personality, grooming and most importantly a truly meaningful life one can find at its best in private sector and not in government sector. Government jobs can be secured for those who are scared to take challenges in life and not interested to excel in life and career.

To get into IT industry, I may suggest you to pick M.C.A. Go for regular study if have studied Maths in class XII.
Without Maths, you can opt the following ways-
1. Pick Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications which will make you eligible for 2nd year M.C.A through lateral entry and simultaneously pursue DOEACC A Level.
2. Distance M.C.A with I.G.N.O.U as it allows you to clear Maths exam and then proceed with the master program.
Simultaneously, you can opt for industry relevant certifications in order to enhance the career opportunities.
