The qualifying cutoff marks for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) is 50% for general category students. For reserved category students, the cutoff is 45%.

Candidates must have qualified for a national level test like CAT, MAT, or XAT. 

Candidates may also qualify for the Common Entrance Test (HPCET) conducted by HPTU. 

The qualifying mark for JEE Main is 15% and for HPCET is 20%

HPTU-HIMACHAL PRADESH TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY is not a tier 1 college, it is considered as tier 2.

Refund form will be accepted if it is submitted within a period of two months after the last date of filling concerned examinations conducted through online payment mode by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur.

For HPTU Hamirpur admission to B. Tech programmes, candidates have to appear for JEE Main.
