Though 74% is a good percentage and you will be eligible for some scholarship assistance in US universities, you will still need money for the rest of the fees and living expenses and the same need to be shown for the visa purpose.
If the background is weak then there are chances for rejection as you can be seen as a potential immigrant to the country.
But, if you are open to explore other countries then you can try to study in European countries where the fees is less or none. For eg. Germany.
Yet, even for Germany you will need to have funds to the tune of about 7 Lacs for your living expenses. While you are eligible to work part time and this can help to some extent in subsidising your living costs, the 7 Lacs is needed initially to secure your visa.

Hi,
It is good to see your seriousness in making your career, so regarding this please remember in order to pursue master degree from university in US you need to have relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
So at present your emphasis should be more on getting admission in good universities or colleges for pursuing undergraduate degree.
I would suggest that you should give your 100% in studies during your undergraduate course and try to get atleast 70% plus marks, as this will enhance your chances of getting admission good US universities.
Besides good marks in undergraduate degree, you also need to take below mentioned tests for pursing masters degree from universities in US:
1. GRE.
2. TOEFL or IELTS.
Please note that universities in US have 2 admission intake in a year namely:
- Fall(September) intake.
- Spring(January) intake.
So it is always advisable to take these tests atleast 3-4 months in advance of your planned admission intake.
In most of the universities the deadline for fall intake is July and for spring intake it is November.
As per your query regarding job then please remember no course or university in US guarantee job to its students, getting a job depends entirely on the knowledge level and calibre of the students.
I would suggest that as a student you should give your 100% in whichever course you opt for, and if you do well then getting a good job with handsome salary should not be a problem.
