Step 1- Registration: Candidate had to register using their basic details like name, fathers name, mobile number and email address. Step 2- Payment of Counselling Fees: Students who had successfully registered were required to pay the fees as per their respective category. Application fees for General/OBC is Rs.500 and Rs.250 for SC/ST category. Step 3- Filling Personal Details: Candidates had to enter their details of nativity, nationality and category along with information like marks of qualifying exams and board. Step 4- Submission of Form: Candidates had to verify all their details furnished in application form as no corrections will be allowed in later stages. After verifying all the details, the candidate could submit the completely filled application form. Step 5- Random Number Allotment: Candidates have been allotted a 10 digit random number. Candidate have to log in to their TNEA account using their login ID/email ID and password and fill their choices as per the allotted ranks. Students must fill choices in order of their preference and should enter as many choices as they can for higher chances of getting a seat in college. The admission process for M.Tech in COEP is no different than that for other colleges, and this entire process is similar to the Common Admission Process (CAP) adopted nowadays for undergraduate admissions in Maharashtra State.
Basic eligibility criteria:
You should be an Indian National
You should have passed/appeared Bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology from State Governments/MHRD approved institutions, with at least 50 % Aggregate marks* (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only)
You should possess a Bachelor degree in the relevant course of Engineering/Technology as specified in the eligibility criteria of the concerned University for which admission is being sought to a particular Postgraduate degree course/specialization.
You should have a positive GATE score, not older than 1 year from the date of applying for M.Tech through CAP.
Admission Procedure:
Online application form for aspiring candidates is available at the website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/me2016 by paying the application processing fees. The fees are different for different types of applicants and may change with time.
The candidate is required to take a print out of the Application Processing Fee receipt, which is generated automatically after online payment of fees.
An application ID and Password is generated after payment of fees. The candidate should Log In into his account and fill the application form online.
The candidate is required to take a print-out of the Online Application Form and get it verified at the nearest Facilitation Centre (FC). He/She should produce his/her Original 10th, 12th, B.Tech/B.E certificates, print-out of the Application Processing Fee receipt and all other required documents during the verification process. This will confirm his/her application and he/she will be entitled to receive a Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement with sign and seal of the FC officer. Once the application is confirmed, no details can be changed.
Outside Maharashtra State, (OMS) candidates are required to get their documents verified in person at an FC in Maharashtra only!
