FLIGHT DISPATCHERS COURSE:
Airlines appoint Flight Dispatchers for flight planning and obtaining ATC and MET briefings and to brief the pilots accordingly and other duties enlisted in the company's operational manual. Appointment as a Flight Dispatcher requires the students to be fully trained and approved by DGCA.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Student should have attained the age of 21 years. The minimum educational qualification required is pass in 10+2 standard examination with mathematics and physics subjects from a recognised Board / University.
DURATION OF THE COURSE:
The duration of the training will consist of 360 hours or 12 weeks of Ground Classes. Thereafter, on successful passing of DGCA / TRTO examination, 90 working days of On-the-Job training and 5 hours of Simulator sessions for observing flight deck operations will be provided. In case the student is unable to clear the DGCA/TRTO examinations in the first attempt and requests for any additional/corrective training, the same may be provided at extra cost.

On completion of the ground classes students will have to appear for DGCA / TRTO written examinations. After passing all the written examinations students will undergo on the job training for 90 working days and 5 hours of Simulator sessions for observing flight deck operations. Thereafter, Student will be required to appear for viva at DGCA, New Delhi or any other station.

The dispatcher shares 50/50 decision making and responsibility for the safety of each flight with the airline captain. Flight dispatchers work indoors at the airport in the airline operations office or control center. They use computers, calculators, weather charts and information, and loading re-ports.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Though a college degree with a major in air transportation or meteorology is useful preparation for work as a flight dispatcher, experience is equally important.
The second is to complete an aviation degree at a college or university through the FAA's Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative program. The final option is to complete either three years of progressively responsible job experience, a Bachelor's degree or a combination of the two.

Mathematician - You can choose to pursue research (become a scientist) in your area of interest in maths and if you choose research, you can go into the teaching sector also. Check out institutes like TIFR-Mumbai, IMSc-Chennai, Harish Chandra Research Institute-Allahabad.
Chartered Accountancy - If you like auditing, taxes and accounting, you can think of preparing for CA too.
Banking - Banking is another sector that you can get into with mathematics.
Actuarial Sciences - If you love data and maths, actuarial sciences would be a great field for it.
Data Analysis/Operations Analysis/Project Development - If you want to work in the private sector, you can look at these profiles.
Military Operations - Mathematics degree would also allow you to work in the military sector, scientists are always required to work with military and development (DRDO, ISRO, NAL, SETS, etc.). You can also join the navy as a Commissioned Officer in their education or logistics branch.
Market Researcher - There are a lot of companies that you can work with to identify market patterns and trends, and help in analyzing these trends.
