Hi,
Ideally you should opt for MA English, Journalism/Mass Communication or MBA. However, if History interests you, then you may go ahead.
The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing M.A History is having a graduation degree in any stream.
However, many of the reputed universities demand graduation degree with Honors in History or History as one of the subjects studied in graduation from any of the recognized college/university.
Some even ask for a minimum of 45-50% marks in graduation as qualifying criteria to secure admission in this course and some also conduct an entrance examination.

TO get into IITs you need to clear JEE Advanced.
But you are eligible to sit of JEE Advanced if you have qualified jee mains.
